Annual Open House and Walk the Locks in celebration of National Trails Day. Begin at the restored Lock Keeper’s House at Lock 14 in Hamden, where you can pick up a trail map, trail mix, and a drink and view an exhibit of the former canal and railroad. Address is 3908 Whitney Avenue, Hamden CT. This is part of the Connecticut Forest & Park Association’s epic celebration around the state. Optional registration is available on CFPA’s website.
